It’s a long weekend, thanks to today being a public holiday (Vesak Day!). I spent a lovely day at home with Andre.

I woke up at 9am after crashing at 2am the night before. Did some laundry before my morning shower. Andre came by, and we stayed in to watch some TV before going out for brunch. It rained heavily in the morning, which totally made me crave for bak kut teh. We went to Rong Cheng at Midview City, so I decided to pop by the Uyii studio to check out their moving out sale afterward.

Came home, and I spent the rest of the afternoon doing more chores and watching a bunch of YouTube videos. I’m pretty addicted to Jenn Im’s videos lately.

We did dinner at Astons Express near my place before hitting up the supermarket to stock up on groceries. I bought a ton of breakfast food (e.g. cereals, milk, kaya, bread) even though I am traveling to China a little more than a week.

Met up with Choco and Nates for dinner at Tamoya Udon earlier tonight! Seriously, I eat there way too often. It was a lot more crowded than I am used to, since I usually avoid going there during peak meal times. We had to queue for a short while. I tried the chicken karaage for the first time today, and it was gooood. x

I popped by Four Leaves before that to pick up more Pao de Queijo for noms and perhaps brekkie tomorrow while doing chores (more laundry + clean floors!). We went to Meidi-Ya after dinner, and I bought some Japanese candy. I am rather proud of my own restraint from buying a lot more yuzu-flavored stuff like gummy candy and mochi).

The last of my Baggu backpacks came in the mail today as expected! I didn’t take a photo, because I feel pretty guilty for shopping so much this month. I think I am really going to have to watch my spending from now on (but I always say this!). I should probably stop tweeting/Instagramming my purchases so often though. It is all so excessively frivolous.

Caught flumpool live for the second time earlier tonight at Clarke Quay at Music Matters Live 2013. They were great as usual.

I didn’t hang around for SID though, as the crowds, heat and cigarette smoke were all getting to me. We actually waited for quite a while, but the soundcheck took forever, and I decided I wanted to go home.

Dinner with Dad at Golden Mile Food Centre! Originally I was planning to either have the yummy and famous beef noodles again or try the claypot rice tonight. But I have been craving for Thai food, so against my better judgment I thought I would give this stall another go. Andre and I tried it the last tim we were here, and we were not very impressed.

But I really enjoyed what I ordered today! Actually I spotted a couple of people having it so I decided to go for the basil minced pork rice. It was only $4.50, and came with a perfectly fried egg and plenty of string beans. The dish was spicy and satisfying. i would love to have this again. :)

Anyway, we went there to eat because Dad wanted to get chocolates from Royce Chocolates afterward, and they had a store at Raffles City (where we get free parking!). Finished off our dinner with ah balling in peanut soup for dessert (actually I only had the peanut soup!).

Another of my Baggu packages arrived today! Now I’m just waiting for and expecting the last one (which I scored free shipping for) to come by this week yeaaaah. Didn’t take a photo because I was lazy heh.

Right now it’s 10pm, and I shall finally conquer the Infernal Affairs trilogy by finishing the last film before sleep. Tomorrow shall be a busy day of work and chores.

So cute. Too bad they are so expensive sigh.
